It’s all good

This morning I did the unthinkable.

Against my better judgment, I bared all and ventured onto the scale …

Boo. Hiss. Curse.

As you may have guessed, it did not reveal what I wanted to see.

While I am thankful to be back to pre-preggo weight, I expected two months of running to yield more pounds loss.

Then again, I am chomping on a heart shaped Valentine’s Day doughnut filled with delightful cream and topped with sweet chocolate chips as I blog …

Despite my weekly mileage, the ‘eating season’ that kicked off on Halloween and chugs along through the Easter is doing me in.

No worries.

My mental well-being and physical health (as far as I can tell) is much improved.

See ya in the candy aisle for the post-Valentine’s Day sale on tomorrow!

  1. Congrats on being back to pre-preggo weight! That's a friggin accomplishment. Remember the whole mucle-weighs-more-than-fat situation too. The best way to judge if you're losing what you want to (meaning fat) is how your clothes fit.

Just by RUNNING this bad boy we're already in the top 10%! A scale can't measure bad-ass-ness, now can it?

  2. I feel your pain... it take a while for the body to respond, at least by my experience.

I just don't check my weight that often now. I prefer not to know rather than being disappointed.

However, because of my hydration research, I weighed in today. I was in shock to see that I lost 4 lbs. I can't even tell you how and when it actually happened because I wasn't checking since November.

Although in shock, I feel reluctant to celebrate. I will stick with my running accomplishments and call it a day :)
